Toano

Stream Restoration - December 2021

Scope of Work

This project involves restoring a stream channel that receives drainage from the Toano area just below the intersection of Richmond Road and Forge Road. The stream is currently unstable and eroding. The goal of the project is to restore this degraded stream and improve water quality in the watershed. The project involves restoring approximately 900 feet of stream channel using natural stream channel design techniques and replacement of a culvert under Depot Street. The project is being partially funded by a grant from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s Stormwater Local Assistance Fund.
