Reporting a Crime or Incident:

James City County Police Department offers convenient online reporting which can be accessed at P2C.jamescitycountyva.gov. Upon visiting the link, please click the "Report Incident" tab and follow the instructions after selecting an incident type. Types of reports include unwanted phone calls (including spam), credit card theft/fraud, damaged property, embezzlement, lost or found property, littering, items pending destruction, theft (under $1,000 and not in progress), trespassing, vehicle tampering, and other minor incidents. The Department will document reports and assign them to officers as needed.

Submitting Tips or Information 

You may also submit tips and incident related information at P3tips.com or contact the crime line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to the crime line and P3 Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the information supplied leads to an arrest. P3Tips can be submitted in English, Spanish and French and you may upload images, audio, video, and other documents.
