Police Investigate Incidents of Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles

During the overnight hours of May 26-27, an unknown person(s) entered several unlocked vehicles in the Governor's Land neighborhood.  Multiple items were stolen to include cash and credit cards.  

Additionally, during the overnight hours of May 28-29, an unknown person(s) entered several unlocked vehicles in the Fenwick Hills and Ironbound Square neighborhoods.  Multiple items were stolen to include cash and credit cards.   Several unlocked vehicles were also stolen. 

If you saw anything suspicious, know who may have been involved or have home security video camera systems, including doorbell cameras, that may have captured suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s) during this time, please contact Investigator Leslie Sten at 757-603-6044 or leslie.sten@jamescitycountyva.gov, Tipsters may also call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit tips online at p3tips.com. Callers to the Crime Line and P3 Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.

Residents are reminded to remove valuables from their vehicles and to always lock your doors.
