Ford’s Colony Country Club Opens Renovated Golf Course

James City County is pleased to announce that Ford’s Colony Country Club held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their recently renovated Marsh Hawk Course. The golf course was originally built and designed by Dan Maples in 1985 and is a traditional tree-lined golf course with small undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. County Tourism Revenue Continues to Grow

Tourism revenue for James City County reached $417 million in 2016, a 2.1% change over 2015. Local tourism-related taxes were $17.5 million, a 4.1% increase over 2015. All data was received by the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) from U.S. Travel Association and is based on domestic visitor spending (travelers from within the United States) from trips taken 50 miles or more away from home. County tourism revenue has continued to grow over the last five years. Continue reading
