Toano Commercial Historic District Added to Virginia Landmarks Register

In December, the Board of Historic Resources and the State Review Board approved the addition of 13 sites to the Virginia Landmarks Register including the Toano Commercial Historic District located in the County. Tasha’s Own has located to a historical farm property in Toano that was built in 1889. The property was originally built by H. U. Stephenson, one of historic Toano’s leading citizens. Free Business Counseling

Each month, the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center offers free business counseling at Launchpad, the Greater Williamsburg Business Incubator. RSVP by emailing go@gwlaunchpad.com or calling 757-565-4373 to schedule your appointment. Space and times are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Dates are all on Thursdays as follows:

Attention Business Owners


Beginning this year, both your completed business license renewal form and full payment are due March 1. Forms were mailed on Jan. 7. To learn how to calculate your tax, click here and look for “2019 Business License Renewal Instructions.”

If you want the Commissioner of the Revenue to calculate your tax for you, you must send in your completed and signed renewal form by Feb. 1 to allow time for invoicing.
