The proposed work consists of installing equipment that introduces zinc orthophosphate corrosion inhibitor at 7 well sites throughout the County in order to protect distribution system piping and residential piping from corrosion. The improvements are based on the recommendations from an evaluation that was completed to assess JCSA’s Central System Source water entry points and water distribution system water quality. The project includes the installation of the chemical feed pumping skids, tanks, piping, and other appurtenances. This project also includes the building, site, electrical, plumbing and control modifications for the additional chemical feed systems. The well sites are as follows:

Bid Security in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Performance and Payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required by the Owner prior to Contract Award. The cost of bonds is to be included with the bid price.
A NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on October 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. local time at JCSA Conference Room, 119 Tewning Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188 Attendance is not required but strongly recommended. Site Visits will be conducted after Pre-Bid Conference.
Liquidated Damages in the amount of $500.00 per day will be assessed for failure to meet the schedule for Substantial Completion or Full Completion.
